Ody’s Cuban Café is much more than a restaurant — it is the result of years of hard work, sacrifice, and dreams built within a family. My name is Odalys Carmona. I am an immigrant, a mother, and an entrepreneur. Like many people who arrive in this country with dreams and hope, I walked a long path of effort, learning, and perseverance before being able to open something of my own.

But my greatest motivation has always been my daughter. All the hard work, the long hours, and the sacrifices have been for her — to give her a better future and to teach her that with perseverance, discipline, and faith in yourself, dreams truly can come true.

On January 1st, 2024, we opened the doors of Ody’s Cuban Café in Davie, Florida, a project born from our love for our culture, our food, and our family.

This café represents our family’s story. My mother works in the kitchen, keeping the recipes and flavors of our Cuban culture alive, while I take care of the front of the café, welcoming every customer as if they were part of our home.

At Ody’s Cuban Café, we believe that food is more than just a plate served at a table. It is tradition, it is culture, and it is the way families connect and share special moments.

Every cup of coffee, every sandwich, and every dish we serve carries the love, effort, and story of a family that chose to believe in their dreams.

Long before the café

A dream built through hard work

The story behind Ody’s Cuban Café began many years before its doors opened. Odalys Carmona came to the United States as a child, like many immigrants searching for a better life. From a young age, she learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of family.

The beginning of a vision

A dream inspired by family

Over the years, the desire to build something of her own began to grow. Becoming a mother strengthened that dream even more: to create a business that represented the values of hard work, discipline, and faith in oneself, and that would also serve as an example for her daughter.

January 1, 2024

Ody’s Cuban Café is born

On January 1, 2024, Ody’s Cuban Café opened its doors in Davie, Florida. Inspired by Cuban culture and traditional recipes, the café was created to offer authentic Cuban coffee, homemade food, and a warm atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

Today

A family-made business

Today, Ody’s Cuban Café is a true family business. Odalys’s mother works in the kitchen, keeping traditional Cuban recipes alive, while Odalys welcomes every customer with hospitality and pride. Everyone who walks into the café becomes part of this story.
